Event Highlights

Fly-In Golf Tournament

The Texas Top Aviation Fly-In Golf Tournament kicks off on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, at 1:30 PM. This two-round tournament uses a Stroke Play format based on net scores, so don’t forget to enter your handicap during registration. Don’t have a handicap? You can calculate it here.

  • First Round: Wednesday, March 26th, 1:30 PM
  • Second Round: Thursday, March 27th, 1:30 PM

Not a golfer? No problem! The resort and the Big Bend area offer a variety of activities, including Jeep rentals, hiking, and scenic exploration, making this one of the top-notch Texas aviation events in 2025 for pilots.

Aviation Seminars

On Thursday morning, March 27th, we’ll feature three seminars hosted by aviation industry experts:

  1. Paul New – Renowned Cirrus and Cessna mechanic and owner of Tennessee Aircraft Services.
  2. Scott Williams – Aviation attorney and owner of The General Aviation Law Firm.
  3. Travis Ulhorn – San Antonio Air Traffic Controller.

Seminars begin at 9:00 AM and conclude before lunch.

Community and Dining

Enjoy group dinners at the resort each evening at 7:30 PM, where you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and unwind after a full day of activities.

Pricing Information

  • $1,475 per person for 2 nights and 2 rounds of golf + tax
  • $1,100 per person for 2 nights and no golf + tax
  • $475 for a non-golfing spouse + tax

Please note, the registration fee only includes the rooms and golfing. All food and beverage costs will be billed directly to the attendee.

Getting There

Arrive at the Lajitas International Airport (T89) to start your unforgettable experience. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to transport attendees to the resort. Please include your ETA and tail number when registering. The Resort will meet you plane side upon your arrival. Lajitas International has instrument approaches to both runways.

  • Golfers: Plan to arrive Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 or before noon on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, to prepare for the first round.
  • Non-Golfers: Arrive by dinner time on Wednesday, March 26th, to attend the welcome dinner.

Runway Alignment:. 7/25

Runway Length:  6,500 feet

Runway Width:  100 feet

Instrument Approaches:  LNAV approach to Runway 07, LP and LPV approaches to Runway 25

Airport Notes:  Circling is NA South of Runway 07/25. If utilizing one of the approaches to Runway 25, please note the required climb gradients on the missed approach procedures.

Right Traffic for Runway 25, left traffic for Runway 07.

The airport is in a valley, but there is significant terrain in the area.  Please study the VFR Sectional Chart before coming and be careful. Night VFR operations are strongly discouraged due to high terrain in the area. If arriving at night, utilize one of the IFR approaches.

There is an Obstacle Departure Procedure published for a Runway 07 departure, the Marfa 2 Departure Procedure.

Radio coverage with Albequerque Center is unavailable below about 8,000 feet in the area.
